Ukrainian Egg Decorating ~ Pysanky

As part of our Social Studies program, one of the countries that we are studying is the Ukraine. One part of the program is to look at traditions and celebrations. We will be doing traditional Ukrainian Pysanky and are in need of tapered candles. We will also be needing parental assistance in the classroom to help the children with this project. Materials Needed For Science

For our science unit "Building with a Variety of Material" we are going to be building an animal. Students need to bring materials from home to construct their animal during science class.
Please help you child gather their materials for their animal. The following materials work well for constructing an animal:

• toilet paper rolls
• paper towel rolls
• small cardboard boxes (cracker boxes,cereal boxes,granola bar boxes)
• shoe boxes
• styrofoam trays
• plastic cups
